Barbara Riddle Taylor has taught voice in Sampson County for 54 years, and she has performed professionally as both a singer and an actress. She has a Masters Degree in Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Her regional credits include the following: Grizabella (Cats), Golde (Fiddler on the Roof), Amnesia (Nunsense), Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore), Marian (The Music Man), and Maria (The Sound of Music).
In Dinner Theatre performances, she has played the role of Cleo (I Love My Wife), Arlene (Baby), and roles in Barefoot in the Dark, The Odd Couple, and Elizabeth the Queen.
Barbara's opera roles include Fiora (La Traviata), Second Knotter (Game of Chance), and Jennie (Down in the Valley). Barbara has also performed in Vienna, Austria at the Wiener Adventzbauer and at the International Voice Congress in Auckland, New Zealand.
